These are some of the words that Teri Wells’ colleagues and peers use to describe her. Over her 29-year career, Teri has fulfilled positions as Executive Secretary, Personal Assistant and Executive PA and in 2012 won South Africa’s PA of the Year Award. She is also the past Head of the Academy of Excellence and a past Vice President of the Professional Association for Secretaries and Administrative Assistants (PAFSA). Currently, Teri is the Executive PA to the Chief Executive Officer and the Financial Director at Redefine Properties. The role that’s closest to Teri’s heart is giving back to the industry and helping empower others. She shares the lessons she has learned through her speaking engagements and workshops. Teri also mentors young candidates through her charitable organisation, Isipho Admin. SPEAKING ENGAGEMENTS Teri has done speaking engagements at professional conferences and workshops in South Africa, Kenya, Dubai, London, USA, Bahrain and Uganda. She believes that the PA is the true force behind the organisation and inspires others to stand up for themselves and remain relevant in the fast-paced change leading the world today that has seen the PA’s role and responsibilities grow substantially. |
TRAINING WORKSHOPS AND MASTERCLASSES
Teri assists in assembling, facilitating and conducting training workshops, programmes and conferences. She also creates bespoke workshops and classes for organisations and conference organisers based on their unique needs and objectives. Teri has developed her own series of master classes based around the valuable lessons she has learnt over the years. MENTORSHIP Together with Anel Martin, Teri founded Isipho Admin, an organisation that selects, supports and prepares young candidates in South Africa for a career in administration. As well as mentoring young candidates, Teri and Anel have assembled a dynamic, local and international team of men and women who assist in mentoring and raising funding for Isipho. |
